Xin Ma is a male professor and doctoral supervisor, currently serving as the Dean of the Medical School at Jiangnan University. He has been awarded the Distinguished Young Scientist Fund and the Excellent Young Scientist Fund by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the "Young Scientist" project in the field of Biotechnology and Medicine under the National High Technology Research and Development Program (863 Program), and the New Century Excellent Talents Program by the Ministry of Education. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Clinical Medicine from Bengbu Medical College in 2005, his Master's degree in Medical Physiology from Zhejiang University in 2007, and his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2010. He conducted postdoctoral research at the same institution from 2010 to 2011. Since 2011, he has been working at Jiangnan University. Professor Ma's research focuses on cardiovascular function regulation and protection. As a corresponding author or first author, he has published 30 scientific papers in prestigious journals such as the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the USA (2012; 2014), J Bio Chem (2015), Hypertension (2013), Arterioscler Thromb Vasc Biol (April 2010; November 2010), Br J Pharmacol (2012), Pharmacol Res (2015), Mol Pharmacol (2015), and Biochem Pharmacol (2016). He holds four Chinese patents in the field of cardiovascular protection. His work has been highlighted by the Nature/Science-Business eXchange in their "Technique in this week" column and reviewed by Faculty of 1000 Medicine for "New Finding, Novel Drug Target." |
