Jing Hu received her Bachelor's degree from Nanjing Normal University in 2001 and her Master's degree from China Pharmaceutical University in 2004. She earned her Ph.D. from Freie Universität Berlin in 2011. From 2011 to 2013, she conducted postdoctoral research at Charité Medical University in Berlin and the University of Duisburg-Essen Medical School. Since the end of 2013, she has been a professor and Master's supervisor at the Wuxi Medical School, Jiangnan University. Professor Hu has a diverse academic background in biochemistry, molecular biology, and basic medicine. Her research mainly focuses on glycobiology and glyco-biochemistry related to liver diseases and infectious diseases. She has led numerous projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key R&D Program, and Jiangsu Provincial Science Foundations. She has published over 30 SCI papers in high-impact journals such asAngew. Chem. Int. Ed.,Adv. Funct. Mater., andJ. Am. Chem. Soc., with 19 papers as the first or corresponding author. She holds 18 Chinese patents (11 granted), 8 PCT patents (4 granted in the USA). She was selected for the Jiangsu “Double Innovation Plan” and recognized as a leading social enterprise talent in Wuxi.
