Dr. Tao Wan is a professor and Ph.D. supervisor at Wuxi Medical School, Jiangnan University. He earned his Ph.D. from the School of Pharmacy, Sun Yat-sen University in 2020. From 2021 to 2023, he conducted postdoctoral research at the School of Pharmacy/Medical Center, Zhejiang University, where he was awarded the 2021 Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China. In April 2023, he joined Wuxi Medical School, Jiangnan University, and established an independent laboratory. Dr. Wan's primary research interests include the rational design of drug formulations and gene therapy. His research focuses on the design of transdermal drug delivery systems and treatments for skin-related diseases, engineered exosomes and exosome formulation technologies, and gene therapy based on protein macromolecule drug delivery. He has published over 14 papers as the first author (including co-first author) in high-impact journals such asScience Advances(2022, 2021, 2019, IF=14.9),Materials Today(2019, IF=26.9),Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews(2021, IF=17.7),Nano Letters(2021, IF=12.2),ACS Central Science(2021, IF=18.7),Journal of Controlled Release(2020, IF=11.4), andNano Today(2022, IF=18.9), with nearly 1200 citations. He has also been granted three Chinese invention patents.
