Dr. Liying Qiu was born in September 1965. She received her Bachelor's degree in Clinical Medicine from Hebei Medical University in 1987, her Master's degree from Hebei Medical University in 1999, and her Ph.D. in Internal Medicine from Fujian Medical University in 2004. From July 1987 to February 2005, she held various academic positions at Hebei North University (formerly Zhangjiakou Medical College), including assistant professor, lecturer, associate professor, and professor. Since February 2005, she has been a professor at Jiangnan University. Dr. Qiu's research focuses on the pathogenesis of vascular diseases related to chronic diseases and the pharmacology of traditional Chinese medicine. She has received eight awards for scientific and technological progress from municipal and industry associations. Dr. Qiu has led and participated in over ten research projects, including major new drug development projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Natural Science Foundation. She has published more than 200 high-quality research papers in domestic and international academic journals, received two provincial teaching achievement awards, and has been granted six invention patents. She has been responsible for projects such as the Ministry of Education's special major construction, provincial key education and teaching reform projects, and provincial high-quality course construction. Dr. Qiu has also authored and co-authored five textbooks and received the Jiangnan University "Excellence in Teaching" award. She is currently an executive director of the Science Popularization Branch of the Chinese Ethnic Medicine Association, an executive director of the Jiangsu Pharmacological Society, and the deputy director of the Teaching Pharmacology Professional Committee. |
