Born in June 1962 in Wuxi, Jiangsu, Dr. Minchen Wu received his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Fudan University in 2001. He is currently a professor and doctoral advisor at Wuxi Medical School, Jiangnan University. His research primarily focuses on the enzymatic preparation of chiral drugs and functional food additives, the discovery and rational modification of novel enzyme resources, and their applications. Dr. Wu has led and participated in four National Natural Science Foundation projects and completed over 30 projects commissioned by national, provincial, university, and corporate entities. He has applied for more than 50 patents, with over 20 granted. He has guided three National Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Projects, more than 10 Jiangsu Provincial Graduate Innovation Projects, and four Jiangnan University Doctoral Research Fund projects. Dr. Wu has authored and co-authored four books and published over 200 academic papers, with more than 50 indexed in prominent SCI journals such asBiotechnology for Biofuels,Biotechnology and Bioengineering, andJournal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. He has mentored over 60 master's and doctoral students from various schools within Jiangnan University, many of whom have received awards such as "Outstanding Graduate Student," "Social Scholarships/Grants," and "National Graduate Scholarship." Dr. Wu has received several honors, including the "Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award" from the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, the "Outstanding Contribution of Young and Middle-aged Experts" from Wuxi City, and the "Second Prize of Wuxi Science and Technology Award." |
